Using modern tech, hacking skills, and upgraded versions of his classic traps, Kevin prepares the house for a new showdown. But Kate refuses to leave, insisting she won’t abandon her son again.
When the revenge-driven pair storms the house, they are met with a barrage of Kevin’s elaborate high-tech traps: electrified stair treads, motion-triggered paint drones, smart-home malfunctions weaponized with precision, and a decoy Kevin that misleads them through the house. Kate herself becomes part of the action, surprising the intruders with clever, old-school tricks of her own.
The final confrontation takes place in the attic, where Kevin and Kate trap the brothers and finally reveal why they came: to destroy the McCallister legacy. With perfect comedic timing and heartfelt teamwork, Kevin and his mother outsmart them one last time.
