The live-action reboot of Hotel Transylvania reimagines the beloved animated world with a darker, more emotional twist. Adam Sandler returns — this time in person — as Dracula, now a weary centuries-old vampire struggling to keep his legendary monster hotel safe in a world where humans and creatures live farther apart than ever. His daughter, Mavis (played by Jenna Ortega), dreams of exploring the human world, even as Dracula tries to shield her from its dangers.

Kevin James stars as Frank, Dracula’s loyal but clumsy friend who accidentally triggers the story’s central conflict. During a stormy night, Frank discovers an ancient artifact buried beneath the hotel — a cursed amulet that awakens Van Helsing’s descendants, a modern-day monster-hunting family who believe Dracula still poses a threat to humanity.
When the hunters surround the hotel, chaos erupts. Shadows crawl across corridors, enchanted traps activate, and the monsters must fight to defend their home. Mavis, torn between loyalty to her father and desire for freedom, uncovers the truth: the amulet amplifies fear, turning humans and monsters against each other.

Realizing the danger, Mavis forms an unexpected alliance with Jonathan, a human vlogger who stumbled into the hotel during the attack. As they race to destroy the amulet, Dracula is forced to confront his greatest fear — losing his daughter.

The climax takes place on the hotel’s collapsing rooftop. Mavis shatters the amulet in a burst of crimson light, breaking the curse and ending the hunters’ rage. Dracula, Frank, and the monsters reclaim their home, while the hunters realize they were manipulated by ancient magic.
The film ends with Mavis announcing her decision to open the hotel to humans and monsters alike — a new era of unity, adventure, and acceptance.
